Belconnen a hotbed of car thieves.

ABC Online is reporting that of the 130 cars stolen each month in Canberra more get stolen in Belconnen.

I’ve always been suspicious of belconnenites, what with their close set eyes and lack of decent bars (pot belly aside). Now it all becomes clear…

I thought all the street names in Fyshwick were named after all the places in Australia you can buy a root.

[laughs out loud] Well played, Maelinar! You win this thread!

I thought all the street names in Fyshwick were named after all the places in Australia you can buy a root.

Well you learn something new every day…

Hang on, “Illawarra Court”?

First they name half the streets in Fyshwick after the pride of the south coast, now they’re naming dodgy housing-commision places after it.

As an ex-Woolongong-ite, I feel kinda insulted…

I’ve always coveted a 120Y.

Thumper can back me up on that.

So apparently Commodores and Falcons are the preferred target of “professional” thieves…..I only need to worry about the amateur thieves, then. Nobody else would be stupid enough to steal a Datsun 120Y.

It’s all to do with Belconnen Mall carparks being so insecure and so close to the shitbags from Illawarra Court.
