There is a bit of twitter chatter today regarding Benji Marshall. Surely the Raiders wouldn’t be interested in him?

If the Raiders’ board are running a competitive team then the Manly-Waringah board must be running a more competitive team.

Let’s face it, Marshall may be past his best but he is still good and fit.
The Raiders would prefer someone older and more injury prone to continue the tradition of being a retirement home for clapped out NRL stars.

Classic! Sprayed coffee. Not sure Tricky Ricky is going to be the club’s savior either!

Benji doesn’t like tackling, being tackled, sends the backline sidewards and puts his team mates under pressure with hospital passes. On the plus side he will boost crowd numbers. Good luck.

Benji is only good if you don’t tackle him, like in that finals match at Bruce. Raiders just stood & watched….

Raiders have denied any interest in Benji Marshall – “No, we are not in the market for Benji Marshall” – Ricky Stuart.
