Apple, orange or breakfast juice – growing up, my juice options were often limited to that sad trifecta. But juice has really lifted its game in recent times. These days I can slurp down a juice with just about any combination of fruit, vegetables or even herbs if I am so inclined.

This week I am putting the call out to find the best juice in Canberra. Cold pressed, blended, squashed, hand extracted, or rung out through a pair of old stockings, I don’t care how it’s made, I want to know if it tastes good and where to find it.

Another vote for The Fix.

Local Press’ juices are good too.

There is a lady at the Farmers Markets on Saturday morning who makes a superb juice – its fresh as it is made right in front of you.

The Fix are great, but their juices aren’t for everyone – take the time to read their story and how they found themselves in that business. Jovan and Lucianne are two remarkable people who are as vibrant as their juices – they are a great local business to get behind!

My favourite juices are no longer available. They were from Hansel + Gretel in Manuka, which is now Ona. I can’t remember what was in them, but I kept going back for more!

The people who are at Hall Markets every month. I love their fresh bottled juice.

Sorry no idea if they’re ever anywhere else or what their name is.

The guy at Bus Depot is pretty good too, but I always have his hot drink options.

The Fix! I don’t really drink straight fruit juice because it’s too sweet, but The Fix does fruit and vegetable juices that are delicious and not at all sickly. If I’m going to eat beetroot, it may as well be in liquid form.

Old Bus Depot Markets on a Sunday – there’s a guy with an orange juice stand. THE BEST.
