This in from ACT Policing:

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the assault of three youths in Latham last night (Wednesday, December 15).

About 11pm the youths were walking home along Stretton Crescent in Latham when they were approached by a car containing three men and two women.

An offender got out of the car and asked the boys for a lighter. After stating they didn’t have one, two other men got out of the car and demanded they hand over their possessions.

Before the youths could comply the first offender has hit one of the youths repeatedly on the back of the head. During the assault one of the youths ran away from the group to his nearby home to call police.

The offenders have then fled the scene in the car which is described as a small white hatchback.

The first male offender is described between 18 – 20-years-old, wearing a yellow shirt with tanned skin.

A second male offender is described as Caucasian in appearance between 18 – 20-years-old, approximately 188cm (6’2”) tall with short spiked hair. He was wearing a grey singlet and grey jeans.

Anyone who may have seen a white hatchback in the area at the time of the assault or may be able to assist police with the investigation are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

This is happening for too much. I’m close to wearing my undies on the outside and going for some vigilante action

As much as I hate unbridled retribution and lack of judicial procedure, I’m getting sympathetic to this view. What these idiots need is a short sharp life-changing lesson… and I’m at a loss to know what it is:(
