If you are looking for a reliable waxing salon in the Canberra region, you have landed in the right place. We’ve conducted a little local research and considered our readers’ feedback – now, the results are in.
In this article, discover the top four waxing salons in Canberra and surrounding areas. You’ll be smooth and silky in no time at all.
Let’s jump right into it.
What makes a great waxing salon?
Whether you are a waxing pro or total newbie, you want your go-to salon to feature the following:
- Experienced staff. Waxing can be extremely painful – even more so if your therapist has no idea what they’re doing. Experience is a must.
- Clean treatment rooms. Waxing can be a messy business. When you step foot into your treatment room, it should be clean, comfortable, and well-cared-for.
- A comprehensive range of waxing services. The best salons offer a whole range of waxing services for both men and women.
- Affordable pricing. The cost of waxing varies a lot between salons. It’s about finding a balance between service quality and affordability.
- A relaxing atmosphere. Waxing hurts. But, in the right salon, you can indulge in a little me-time. Spa music, candles, and other finishing touches make all the difference.

That junky with the bucket on Northbourne will wash it, I’m not sure he’ll wax it, though.
Perhaps if you pay extra.
Otherwise Car Lovers, perhaps?
You mean “a good waxing OR a cheap one”, right?
Created Beautiful, Shop 10, Andrew Arcade, Giles Street, Kingston.
Two years I have been going there, not one ingrown hair. Natti is fastidious in ensuring nothing remains.
100% recommendation from me. It is a regular price, I guess? $60.00. But they do a proper job!
You a hot chick? I’ll do it for free.
1) Watch infomercial

NAD wax is absolute crap.
What is to be waxed ?
My better half swears by the beauty place at Brand Depot – not sure what the name is, but it is around the far side, near the “refuel lounge” (food court thingy).
I think she pays $25-30, which makes the trek out there worthwhile.
I really recommend Jedidah (that’s her name). I went to her on a stinking hot day before my wedding, when I hadn’t made a booking and all of the big names had looked down their noses at me and told me they were full. She’s wonderful! Call her on her and just arrange a time to meet at her shop upstairs across from starbucks in civic. Small Canberra business, very friendly, reasonably priced (can’t remember from top of my head but comparative) and pretty talented at what she does. It really made my day.

I think she has closed.
I go to Anna Michelle of Beauty By The Pines in Issacs. She charges about $35 for a brazilian, $12 for eyebrows. I’ve been going to her for almost three years now and she always does an awesome job. Her number is 6286 8178.
The wife has her Brazilian done at the place Gobbo recommends. I cannot comment on the process, as I’ve never been allowed in to watch, I can however speak highly for the outcome.
Highly recommend Cassy at Soul’s Desire Beauty & Grooming – http://www.soulsdesire.com.au
Good price too! 😛
IMO $35 for a Brazilian is too low for an operator to be using good materials and following OHS procedures like not recycling the wax.
ewwwwww….
i have had hit and miss eyebrows at faces in woden…. not too shabby at the one at narrabundah shops (cant remember the name)
by far the best i have ever had was in darwin, which helps no one, especially me.
Pommy bastard: In what way?

Can someone (male or female) please explain to me the attraction of the Brazilian? I have NEVER got it. Er, I mean, I have never understood the allure.
As a male hetero, to me it just implies you’re going for the pre-pubescent look and that I REALLY don’t understand.
I’m serious. Pray enlighten me.
