The Bureau says:

A shower or two could linger around the region this morning in the wake of a trough that crossed the region last night, however most of the day is expected to be fine under a ridge of high pressure.

Apologies for the server trying to take the day off to come on the crawl too (actually the storm reset the transact line which in turn required me to scoot over to our undisclosed location and reset the router), it’s back up now and Kerces is going to be keeping the malingerer on the straight and narrow.

As you sit in front of your computer we’ll be hoisting a pint, laughing in the sun, and thinking of you all.

If anyone wants to join us call 0412 690 643 for a rendezvous point.

Nope, not me – altho’ I did make it to nearby Manuka at one point during the day and noticed Oakes, Milne & Brissenden all within five minutes of each other: trying to look busy but failing dismally.
Perhaps there was a Press Gallery bike bar crawl? (Doubtful – at least two of the aforementioned don’t look to me as though mounting a bike is quite their bag).
PS, JB: Unfortunately Stateline does have that effect on some people…

That might have been Terubo’s rebel crawl.

I was home by 7ish and fast asleep on the couch sometime after stateline started. Rage (the show) woke me at 1am and I stumbled into bed.

What, your home! I only just got back and lucky to do so. Nothing to do with the grog, just riding home in the dark while wearing black on a black bike with no lights. Well and truly got the heart racing.

we all survived, and had a wonderfull time.

Is it wrong to be secretly hoping he gets picked up for RUI?

I’ve had plenty of coffee today so I’m fine. I was down in civic at 11:25 so I probably passed the bicycle crawl and didn’t even notice…too busy getting on the bus I guess.

Pissed, too.

That’s true. An irony would be if there was a big DUI bust and they all lost their licences and then had to resort to riding to work.

That said, I am secretly a little jealous. I’d love to be spending today on a bar crawl rather than at work.

Meh, they can go for it OYM and there are no hard feelings at all. It’s not the legality involved, it’s primarily a ‘can’t be arsed’ issue. Besides, better to be riding then driving.

My other problem is that I have shitty luck, and I’d never live it down if I was wiped out whilst riding pissed.

And yes, we are missing the cricket as well.

Bulldog, I will at least admire you for not being a hypocrite on this issue. Others on this site mouth off about cyclists breaking the law, then intentially proceed on a bar crawl on bicycles. Go figure.

We’re also missing the cricket…which is worse?

At work, I don’t have a drama with that because after all of my previous comments regarding my feeling towards cyclists it’d be a touch hypocritical for me to be out and amongst it. If there’s a taxi crawl scheduled for an evening I’ll be there.

report just in from the Crawlers at 1125
2 beers, 1 tequila and something else already down
about to depart O’Neils
and its a beautiful day for a bike ride

Oh boy free reign over the site while JB’s off having fun! Lucky me!

Me too, Thumper. Never mind, less chance of being sideswiped by some crazy driver, or charged with being drunk and extremely wobbly.
