League Unlimited bring word that the ACT Government’s new found love of bronze sculptures has extended to paying for Big Mal Meninga to be immortalised on the western forecourt of Canberra Stadium.

Mr Stanhope said, “During my time as Chief Minister, a wide range of public works of art from the kinetic work in Yarra Glen to this work of art to honour Mal Meninga have been installed across our city. Public art is one of the most important ways that the ACT Government contributes to the cultural life of our city.”

Canberra Raiders CEO Don Furner said the occasion is one Canberra citizens should not miss and encourages all fans to get to the game nice and early.

The unveiling will be before the home game on 28 June.

hmmm……..perhaps we should bronze the chiefly one as well, I mean actually stand him on a concrete block and bronze him, at least he may become useful then, somewhere for the birds to sit and sh!t………….

+1 lol 🙂

good lord, one would hope this rumour lasts as long as mal’s parliamentary career; heads should roll for such scandal!
