Biggzy from Mix106 is going to ride a fibreglass horse around town to raise money for charity.

Before the ride commences, during the Rod & Biggzy Breakfast Show the hosts will be calling for
donations both small and large from the ACT business community, before embarking on the ride
across the ACT and finishing in Queanbeyan. The route includes 2 schools where the pupils have
raised funds and several shopping centres where the public are invited to throw some coins into the
bucket and help increase the amazing level of donations already received.

Because it’s a good cause I’m not going to make any jokes about radio, or ask why they sent us a picture of an obviously not fibreglass horse. It’s a good photo though.

Here’s the release if you’re keen to have a look.

If 104 and 106 want to raise money I’d happily kick in a few bucks for them to leave their transmitters turned off for a 72 hr marathon.

Ummmmm, you do know you don’t have to tune in to them, with most radios you can change stations, or at the very least turn them off.

That picture, my eyes…

Heard said “personality” this morning moralising about people swimming at unpatrolled beaches. She evidently thought this was tantamount to basejumping, risk-wise.

Having such a banal, proudly stupid person blasting their inanity to a large slice of the population on a regular basis is probably doing the population profound harm. Turning brains to mush, thoughts into platitudes, people into sheep.

Riding a fake horse. Are they filming Idiocracy II?

I will add, the “I hate 106 & love being put to sleep by 666” thing has been done to death. Leave it out of here.

Much like the cyclist threads (that I cant seem to keep away from….).

Agreed. Money was raised for a damn good cause. If you dont like the station/paper/opinion/person tough luck and move on.

no she didn’t ride it around town, she climbed on it when it was parked and not moving… where is the fun in that!

If 104 and 106 want to raise money I’d happily kick in a few bucks for them to leave their transmitters turned off for a 72 hr marathon.

Really you guys? Fair dinkum, this thread is about helping others, not slagging the people who are doing the raising of money.

Some of you people have no internet filter do you?

Conroy canned the internet filter. I also despise horses, the Ainslie s***ter and the poplars of Braidwood.

Black Thunder is the 104.7 ute, this is 106.3. So no.

But aren’t they the same company?

Same dog, different turd. I despise their programming.
One station plays songs like Eagle Rock, Freeway of Love and The Living Years incessantly and the other picks tunes from JJJ’s A to Z of s*** music and turns them into hits.

Please tell me the fibre glass horse will be mounted on the back of black thunder for the ride?

Lady Godiva style?

I have no idea if that would be a good thing or a bad thing – I’ve only ever seen two pics of her and all I’ve discerned either time was a gaping maw.

Sorry about lowering the tone – good on you for doing a good thing, Carla. Hope the saddle sores clear right up.
