Bill Young calls it quits

Foxsports have the sad news that Brumbies prop forward Bill Young is going to hang up his boots for fear his neck can’t take it no more.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Bill, but with the refs figuring out his wily ways and a generation of bigger props coming on the scene perhaps his time had passed.

perhaps they could get richard loe, sean fitzpatrick etc to come and give them a few motivational speeches…

They were the last of the 2 decent props that we had. Huff and Puff Baxter has been a failure at the scrum since his debut against Argentina at the last WC where he was categorically smashed by amateur players. Rodney Blake only has his size on his side and Greg Holmes is adequate at an international level at best.

The entire Australian pack needs a dose of angry pills as they play (last game against the Boks aside) in an entirely effeminate fashion. A bit of push and shove, use of the shoe, and not taking a backward step hasn’t been a part of the packs vocabulary since about 2001.
