The ABC reports on Blake Ferguson not even pretending to care any more:

Speculation surrounding Blake Ferguson’s playing future continues to mount after he was spotted at a Sydney pub alongside Cronulla star Todd Carney the night before missing Canberra’s NRL clash against Manly.

Ferguson was a no-show at the Raiders’ 36-22 loss to Manly at Canberra Stadium on Sunday afternoon, advising club chief executive Don Furner hours before kick-off that he had a family-related commitment in Sydney.

The controversial NSW Origin player was photographed the night before at the Clovelly Hotel alongside Carney.

It is understood he is being chased by his former club Cronulla, as a get-out clause was triggered in his Raiders contract last week when coach David Furner was sacked.

Ferguson’s situation in Canberra remains murky.

Although not picked in the Raiders’ match day team, interim coach Andrew Dunemann advised that Ferguson was fit to play on Sunday after recovering from a leg injury.

Meeting a friend at a pub isn’t suspicious. If a family situation was developing, he would be at home dealing with it and might turn to a friend for support. I agree a lot of bogan trash plays football but let’s not have a witch hunt because two friends had a beer.

But yes, most of us have personal dramas and still make it to work!

Well, hanging around with Carney has probably given him an acquired taste for p1ss…

Meeting a friend at a pub is extremely suspicious, if you’re this buffoon.

The Raiders should let him go immediately so that he can inflict his bullsh*t on some other poor fools. And in ten years time he’ll be a forgotten nobody, regaling his friends at the pub with stories of his past greatness while sucking up his beer gut and hoping that nobody notices that he’s wet himself a little bit.

Let us not forget that the previous time he went to a pub in Sydney, it led to an indecent assault charge that is still pending.

It might be that the fault lies with the administration of the Raiders. A very long list of kick-out Raiders players making it with other NRL teams surely must make one wonder why.

Start looking at other administrations that stick by their players, they don’t kick them out they get their players under control. Many of the super stars of this game had a sullied reputation early in their careers. I think it has just become to comfortable for the Raiders administration, like jobs for life.

..or maybe these highly paid players need to grow up, stop acting like tools and show some respect to their club, their team members and their fans. Turning up for training on time and sober and playing games when they are supposed to shouldn’t be that hard.

Oh, and, not injecting themselves with whatever garbage they can get their hands on might also help.

Pathetic.

Probably bumped into Albo and Craig and had an all-nighter.

Dumb and Dumber!
