Andrew Landeryou of The Other Cheek claims to have an exclusive report on the drug nest that is Parliament House.

On Friday they discussed Crikey correspondant Christian Kerr’s revelations, published in The Age last year, that he took cocaine and ecstasy while a Ministerial Advisor to Robert Hill and Amanda Vanstone and working for former SA Premier John Olsen.

Landeryou says the key question now is where did Kerr get his drugs from: Canberra or Adelaide?

A Parliament House source told The Other Cheek, “Drug-taking is common-place up there, no doubt about it. I believe there is a drug dealer who targets those working within the Parliament building, who generally ‘does the business’ with staff and MP’s at the Grange. Some of the Gallery are right into it too. He has also been seen in the building itself, as a guest of one a young blonde journo. It’s an open secret.”

dunno johnboy. Best ask Mark Latham that – he seems to have all the parly house drug den inside info.
But I sure as hell know Amanda mixes a damn fine martini, and her office has *always* been party central.

But C’mon SS, who did Christian get his gear from?

I’m not in a position to know the truth about a culture of drug-taking in parliament house, and in particular the press gallery.

But I will say this:

1. Drug addiction may well explain the reporting of a select few journos in the gallery. It’s either that or they’re naturally stupid.

AND

2. If I worked for Amanda Vanstone, I’d be inspired to take drugs as well.

ooooh!
you mean…drugs are baaad, mmkay?
who’d have thunk it: white collar professionals indulging in a bit of recreational drug use.
what next? fornication amongst our pollies?
never!
And what about Andrew Landeryou’s form. The bloke’s blog was an interesting (if bitter) insight into Right power poltics in Victoria, but he’s long ago lost the plot.
