When did it go to $7? I never went there when it was that much – and would have turned around and gone somewhere else if I saw that price.

I thought it had always been free. I guess I haven’t been for a while. Whoever thought 7.00 was fair was dreaming. Blundell’s cottage is fascinating, but you can get through it in about 10 minutes flat.

I don’t think the article in Wikipedia is quite correct and I realise it does have this shortcoming sometimes. My Mother and I used to visit Blundell’s cottage during 1940’s and early 50’s when it was still a small working farm operated by a Mrs Oldfied who lived there on here own. My Mother used to collect insurance premiums from her and we always had morning tea with scones, jam and fresh clotted cream. I don’t remember the cottage being anywhere other than up on the slopes just near the old Scotts Crossing road where it is today, but the Wiki article states it was on the plain near the river and that the last occupants were the Blundells.

Apparently the areas surrounding the Cottage provide too good a view of the ASIO Battlestar while its under construction, and there’s a secret entry/exit right near Blundell’s Cottage.
