Today Simon Corbell has announced the appointment:
Mr Bob Neil has been appointed to act in the position of Commissioner for the Environment for six months, effective immediately, Minister for the Environment and Sustainable Development Simon Corbell announced today.
Mr Neil replaces Dr Maxine Cooper, who has commenced her role as the ACT Auditor General.
“Mr Neil has extensive experience in the ACT Public Service, particularly in the areas of environment protection, regulation and investigations, environment and water policy, water resource, heritage and nature conservation management, and administration of urban tree and public place protection.
