Bog fire at Telopea High

ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished a small fire in the male toilet block at Telopea Park High School, New South Wales Crescent, Barton.

Several hundred staff and students safely self evacuated as a precaution.

Three pumpers on scene with the Breathing Apparatus vehicle, Hazardous materials unit and two command vehicles.

Crews conducting air monitoring and ventilation and expect to remain on scene till approx 12pm.

Cause of fire yet to be determined.

Crews notified following an Automatic Fire Alarm call at 10.16am.

10:58am Monday 5 December 2011

ACT Fire & Rescue crews have departed the scene.

Estimated damage $10,000.

Cause of fire will be investigated by ACT Policing.

No doubt, it will be a similar cause for the Telopea “blaze”…

I went to this school..the bathrooms dont have paper towel anymore… more likely some bogan kid smoking in the toilets!
