Boiling seas

If you’ll recall the last time we had major flooding it was a huge cloud mass reaching out from the North West of Australia all the way down to dump out over our mountains.

So it’s worth taking a look at the CSIRO’s excellent interactive map of sea surface temperatures.

That much hot water is going to be coming visiting someone in the not too distant future.

In the summertime I like to go swimming to cool down.

Holidays at Merimbula look just the ticket for a refreshing dip.

Wow, I’m always amazed how much warmer the water feels up in central Queensland than in say south coast. Looking at that graphic it looks like the north west is bath temperature. Thats a whole new level.

This summer is beginning to look alot like the last two: Big storms buildling from Broome to Alice Springs, joining, becoming a super low and heading south east.
We do not have the super low systems yet, if they form that is where all the wet will come from.

Yeah and it’ll be hot when it rains, the water fsalling from the apoplectic skies will be like still 95 degrees, so stay inside!!!
