Word reaches me that the queue to get into the bootleg sessions at the Phoenix tonight was insane.

Well done to Phoenix and organisers for putting together an institution on a Monday night that fills the bar beyond capacity.

I guess we’ll all just have to start turning up straight after work to get a spot.

try http://www.loadedog.com for that review – forgive me please

whoops – hahaha

Spot On Bronson – I believe there’s a review of Danny Boy on Loadedog (i’ve never tried to add a link – i hope it bloody works)

The Bootlegs can be a tough crowd for a performer sometimes though – they should piss off that wall in the middle. nonetheless a big crowd’s better than no crowd.

I think the biggest reason for the bootleg revival(after the music)is Ben Drysdale’s tireless efforts in organisation – he keeps the good music on constant rotation.

don’t forget to clap…

Dan Banks Band… i’ve seen those guys there a few times and man do they rock out. suuper cool band if you get the chance to see em.

Yeah, unless you have a deep, burning passion to stand outside Pheno, peering tragically through the windows watching everyone inside drink lots of beer and have a great time, it’s probably best to try and get there before 9 or so. At least, that’s when the place flooded with people last night. You can never really tell.
