Bringing clarity to rental blacklists

Deejay, if you haven’t over leveraged yourself, a few weeks wouldn’t cause any huge financial lose. Your comment states you get paid , even if it’s not ”quite” too late. The rules are in place too ensure you ‘do ‘ get paid though. If you require the rental income , then there is the issue you implimented yourself. More boomers or people whom beneifit from boomers greed, capitalising on previous earned benefits from past, whom now disable new home buyers to enter the market. Get a house for a home, not income. If rental income is that much of a burden to you, free it up for a family who needs a home and stop being a symptom of the problem. All you are doing is creating a minipulated market with over inflated prices so people that already have a buck , can make more from lower income earners trying to enter the housing market.

how does one find out if they are on said balck list and what does one do if they have been put on their for illegitimate reasons?

Can we have a database of dodgy landlords for tenants to look at too? Goes both ways in this market…

I bet if the blacklist is hosted on a cloud farm server based in the States, with a .tv webaddress, the real estate bodies are just going to thumb their noses at Simon.

Ugh. As a landlord, I’d like to know all the other indiscretions, thank you very much – like the tenants who pay their rent late every. damn. month, but not *quite* late enough to trigger a notice to quit. Or how about the tenants who alienate the neighbours and demolish any hope we might have had of a future development approval?
