The Australian reports that the Raiders’ Bronx Goodwin has plead guilty to his assault charges from the July night of shame which brought down Todd Carney:

Goodwin, who was stood down by the Raiders pending the outcome of his case at the ACT Magistrates Court, was accompanied in court by his girlfriend and club CEO Don Furner.

The 23-year-old former fullback, son of former Kangaroos international Ted Goodwin, pleaded guilty to assaulting two patrons outside the All Bar Nun pub, in O’Connor, at around midnight on Sunday, July 20.

UPDATED: Reports are coming in that he’s got a one year good behaviour bond and a $1,300 fine.

Regardless of who Bronx assaulted, it’s mega anti-social behaviour and he deserves to get punished.

Mate he didn’t pull a bloke out of a taxi line – he chased the bloke who was running for the cab after he’d something smart to him (I think it was f***wit) and whacked him a couple of times. And Weaselburger you’re getting your drunk footballers mixed up mate – Bronx never pissed on anyone. And….there’s no way he’d go to jail for that – weekend or otherwise. He’ll get a fine and a bond and probably get punted by the Raiders, which won’t bother him because he’ll go straight to Cronulla.

no way will he serve time, you don’t get locked up if you play footy..

unfortunately for Bronx it might not matter what his workplace thinks of his actions. By slotted I mean going inside or at the best weekend detention. He didn’t ‘bitch slap’ a dude. He pulled a random guy out of a cab line and belted him while he wasn’t looking.

he didn’t bitch slap him he pissed on him!!!!

Anyway it doesn’t matter todd is in the news again for doing drunken stupishit so even if it is one load off his back it’ll quickly be replaced

Why should he be speared? So what if he punched some drunken tosser at 2am in the morning. The workforce would have a few holes in it if we all got hoisted for doing something stupid on the piss every once in a while. At least it wasn’t a girl he hit, and at least he didn’t try to make his best mate take the blame for it!!! I didn’t see Anthony Lafranchi miss any games after he was CHARGED with rape! I’d trust Bronx with my daughter before any of those Bulldog, Bronco, Cronulla or Titan/Tigers clowns that have made the news for something much worse than bitch slapping a bloke who probably didn’t even feel it!

He’s gone is what i hear. Very strong chance he’ll be slotted for a period of time.

This is all Wank Carney had to do to keep his big salary and dream opportunity.

Yeah, he’s a good player, and I think he deserves some credit for standing up and pleading guilty.

The presence of Don Furner in court presumably signals the Raiders support for Bronx.

I dunno – is he actually a decent player?

At least this d**k had the balls to stand up and take responsibility for his actions!
