ActewAGL are warning they’ve got a fault in Tuggeranong making things unpleasant:

ActewAGL customers in the Tuggeranong area including Richardson, Wanniassa, Kambah, Monash, Isabella Plains and Gowrie may experience some discolouration of the water supply today due to a fault on the water network.

It is difficult to predict which properties the discoloured water may reach, however the discolouration will clear with normal water use.

If the discolouration is still apparent tomorrow morning (Wednesday 4 January 2012), please call ActewAGL’s faults and emergencies line on 13 11 93.

Well don’t feel to bad Tuggeranong, you might have had brown water today but those of us living near the Airport have had 99 or 100 percent humidity – according to the BOM website observations 🙂

Amazed at how well the evap air con performed!

Evap air con would be heaven on a day like today! I had brown water AND no aircon. I was so irritated when I went to pour some water earlier on and it was pooey brown. Then I thought how lucky we are to have running water (and evap air con when I can afford it lol). So easy to take stuff for granted. Hope the ACTEW fella’s are having a nice cold beer now. My water seems all good now so thanks!

I just called Actew as our water is still brown (8:40pm). It’s meant to clear up over the next few hours. The Actew person said that the water is safe to shower with and to drink.

Apparently the problem will be fixed by about 6.30pm tonight according to Actew.
