Foxsports tells the tale of a reality check for our brave lads as their stunning run of away wins came to an inevitable conclusion in the small hours of our night in South Africa.

The points would have been nice but hopefully this will help with their development.

Jake White’s men were gunning for a record eight consecutive away victories and trying to match their previous best start to a season of five straight wins.

They got to within three points late in the match but an intercept try to Stormers reserve back Gerhard van den Heever in the 75th minute sealed their fate.

Stormers played very very well, a different level to any of the opposition faced so far. It’s games like this that tell the coach which areas are a little bit lightweight at the highest level, nevertheless, the Brumbies could have ground it out with a strong 2nd half performance but didn’t deserve the win overall.
Andries Bekker is a freakin monster…I think his power just swung it their way.

+1……..Bekker’s defence smashed us
