Brumbies get CA back on board for 2009

The Brumbies have announced that the software managers CA have signed up for another season as the major sponsor.

They’re also talking tough under the new coach:

“Our recruitment has been precise and we now have a squad that is certainly capable of bringing home the Super 14 trophy.

“With CA back on board it places the final piece in the puzzle and sets us up for a successful year in 2009.”

With the Crusaders lacking Robbie Deans some might think the prize is there for the taking.

Did you know ca distribute an Internet security suite which includes antivirus, spam and spyware protection? You can download it for $89.95 from the ca website. Has anybody tried it? I might buy it if it is better than Norton which lets all the viruses onto the computer and flashes a message saying the computer is infected, and the freebies like Avast and AVG which are next to useless.

Not a kiwi, just Tony Browns love child!

Ha! Not a Southlander by any chance S4anta? The Highlanders would struggle against my sons under 11s team.

I redckon the Highlanders will spank the brumbies.

Rathbone looked in good form & fitness towards the end of the Sydney club comp, it would be fantastic to see him back to his best for The Brumbies…..& yep, Moore was a great buy.

Yeah, I would like to see an injury-free Rathbone bullocking through opposition defence. He has had a wretched run of late.

Convincing Steven Moore to move to Canberra was a good sign though. He’s seriously one of the best hookers in the world.

If he’s adding some starch to the tight five the pack starts to look seriously menacing.

Adam Ashley Cooper needs more time in the centres but the team’s got a lot of star power, especially if Rathbone is back to full power.

Well….considering the inexperience of the squad, they didn’t do too bad this year at all, only just missing out on the finals. I’d still consider them an outside chance, but a chance none the less. They’ve certainly got more hope than the Pansietahs.

…Sets us up for a successful year in 2009…

Well it couldn’t get any worse, could it? Andy Friend is a far better coach than the hapless Laurie, but the Crusaders will still be the team to beat. And much though they might like to think they have a decent squad, the Brumbies will still be too inexperienced across the board to have much success next season.
