It wasn’t pretty. But it got damn exciting at the end. The Brumbies squeaked a low skill affair over the Western Force in the dying minutes of the game.

Beats the hell out of losing in the last minute. Keo have reportage here.

Lucky us, we had a good old half-arsed-facist march past from life savers.

We have some photos, here the cameramen are all lined up to try and get the Brumbies’ first brute force try.

And here’s the YouTube package that includes the try:

To celebrate the lifesaving centenary we had a good old fashioned quasi-fascist march past.

Brumbies will lift this week with Mortlock back. We seem to play to the level of the opposition instead of playing at the level we are capable of week in week out. This saturday night will be superb!

Least the Brumbies gave the ACT some sort of victory this weekend… Useless Raiders just lost 28-0. Not one point – Maybe the Monday night curse does exist. Only the Mighty Bunnies have managed to win a game after playing a Monday night match – every other team win or lose – has lost the following weekend.

Shame Raiders shame – you cant have a Monday night match every week….

I was there. Not at all exciting, except for the heart busting few minutes when everyone thought they had blown a game at the death for the THIRD time this season. Solid.

But someone ought to tell SANZAR that George Ayoub is not good enough either as a referee or a touch judge. The man obviously has an eyesight problem (notable when trying to flag the point where the ball goes into touch) and with some problems that he clearly did not see, although, say, 10,000 other people and the camera did.

Next week should be huge. I hope the stadium is full to the gunnels with hysterically fanatical Brumbies fans. We can do the ‘Saders if we really try.

200% even.

But better to get the points AND the wakeup call.

We’ll need to lift our game 100% for the Saders next week.
