The Brumbies have named their side to take on the Florists (aka Waratahs) on Saturday night:

    Starting XV
    1. Ben Alexander
    2. Huia Edmonds
    3. Dan Palmer
    4. Ben Hand
    5. Mark Chisholm
    6. Colby Faingaa
    7. Julian Salvi
    8. Ita Vaea
    9. Josh Valentine
    10. Matt Giteau
    11. Francis Fainifo
    12. Christian Lealiifano
    13. Andrew Smith
    14. Henry Speight
    15. Adam Ashley-Cooper

    Replacements
    16. Anthony Hegarty
    17. Salesi Ma’afu
    18. Peter Kimlin
    19. Michael Hooper
    20. Pat Phibbs
    21. Matt Toomua
    22. Robbie Coleman

The facially fractured Mitchell Chapman has seen Colby Faingaa move to blindside flanker with Julian Salvi the fetcher.

Pat McCabe has ended his run of invincibility and succumbed to a hamstring injury which sees the largely untried Andrew Smith playing outside centre.

Promisingly Christian Lealiifano is playing inside centre which could put the opposition in two minds if he and the git play opposite sides of the ruck. The sparkling Robbie Coleman then hopefully coming on when legs are tired.

Whatever happened to Tyrone Smith? Maybe he went to another province? I thought he’d be the replacement outside centre.

The former rookie of the year?

He’s still listed in the squad.

i wish they actually played him!!! he’s pretty fast and agile

No Stan Mc, leaves only one attacking back AAC. They need to have Lealif at No. 10 and Gits at 12, everyone in the rugby world knows this except Gits.
Any truth to rumours that AAC has been in contract talks with the Tahs for next season??? Hope not.

Still with Matty at 10… at least he can chop and change with Christian I suppose. I haven’t been too happy with our wingers either. Frankie doesn’t seem to like being tackled and his defence is a bit turnstyle-ish. Hopefully Smith is capable of passing to his outside man, unlike AAC of late. And a lot more hopefully, someone in that mega player-power infused coaching structure has reiterated the value of possesion of the ball.
