Pigs!

The Bullet Train for Australia party wants you!

Tim Böhm, the President of the Bullet Train for Australia Party is calling on “real people” to join their team of Candidates for the upcoming federal election.

“We are only looking for real people – down to earth, everyday Australians that want to make a difference by getting a high speed rail system for our regional and capital cities.

We won’t be running career politicians, B-grade celebrities or washed up sports people.

Our goal is to run for the NSW, ACT and Victorian senate, and in electorates along the route of our Stage 1 plan from Newcastle to Melbourne.”

Budding candidates must have the following traits:

1. Passionate about high speed rail and the benefits it will bring.

2. Good sense of humour – no stiffs please!

3. Willing to help bring politics back to the people and real people back to politics.

I do dislike career politicians, B-grade celebrities, and washed up sports people when it comes to politics, and I’m pro posters featuring pigs in suits, maybe I should run?

I seriously would’ve looked into this party a bit more to see if they were worth voting for until I read this.

A sense of humour is apparently more important than any economic/financial or legal knowledge? “We really, really want a fast train and we will built it out of jokes and fun!”

That’s funny, you must have missed item number 2 from their list…

😉

Surely candidates should come from the party membership rather than the political equivalent of an ad on Gumtree?
