bumpers on the parkway

Kyle has sent in this gem he said was on the Tuggeranong Parkway this morning, but I suspect it might have been Parkes Way.

Hah! Who said public art was dead?

They could be trophies from cars he has bested.

I don’t think carrying a bunch of bumpers is a crime.

NSW plate- where is God’s name has he driven from with that load on his back?

I’m sure the boys (and gals) in blue can pick up that number plate and execute a simple follow up. Looks like DL.769?

It looks vaguely like the Opera House slumming it in Canberra.

Hehe you wouldn’t catch me driving anywhere near that.

Hahaha. That’s quite a collection!
Hmmmm, delivery to Fyshwick, or morning scavange from Canberra ‘peak hour’…? 🙂

Seeing that pic reminded me of a beautiful piece of driving I saw a couple of years back. While standing next to the road outside my emplyers building of the time, a woman on the 3pm school/childcare pickup trip (I’m not making judgements, that was just a fact!) tried to execute a U-turn in said dead end street. On the way around, she smacked the pole holding the ‘warning, end of road’ type sign, and pulled the front bumper clean off. She just hopped out of her car, grabbed the bumper, and threw it in the back. All very casual, all very natural. Didn’t look like this was the first time this had happened… Highly irrelevant to this post, but damn funny.

And yes, that is Parkes Way, approaching the Coranderrk Roundabout by the looks of it.
