Bunnings Fyshwick garden fire

ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished a small fire at a large hardware outlet in Fyshwick.

Firefighters arrived at the Bunnings outlet in Collie Street to find a bark garden bed alight adjacent to the gardening section at the rear of the premises.

It was quickly extinguished preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby structure. The area burned was approximately five metres by two metres,

The alarm was raised via an emergency triple zero call from a couple who were driving past.

The cause is unknown.
