Bunny meets magpie. Images of Canberra?

bunny and bird

What’s cuter than fluffy bunny wunnies? A bunny with a birdy!

John has sent this in:

Shame about the image quality, shot with mobile phone and my attempt to creep a little closer resulted in the magpie flying away (not the rabbit funnily enough)

Spotted this rabbit sharing a tender moment in the sun with a magpie in Campbell near the back of the War memorial.

Since it’s spring, the magpie is probably trying to attack the rabbit to rip out some of that nice soft fur to line its nest with.

Yep, rabbits usually fly away at the slightest provocation.

The maggie is obviously helping a group of runaway rabbits infiltrate a rival warren in order to convince enough does join them in starting a new colony. Also. one of the rabbits has prophetic visions, and at some point there’ll be a really tense, sad moment set to an Art Garfunkel song where one of the rabbits nearly dies.

‘nearly’ dies? What is this, DrKoresh? The Disney version?

I remember Countdown thought that clip was so boring they intercut footage of dancers into it. The song still went to number one tho.

That’s Bambi’s mother buried in the mound. Or Skippy.

Mag is probably after worms and bugs in that pile of compost. Cannot imagine what the rabbit is doing though, no grass up on that heap.

No, I think you must be misremembering the movie, i’m referring to the old British version with John Hurt playing Hazel. He gets shot by the farmer and is lying crippled in a ditch when they start playing Bright Eyes. They play it again in the final scene where Hazel dies of old age, but that’s not the scene I was referring to.
