O’Mallicans take note, Territory And Municipal Services advise they’re going to be burning off Isaacs Ridge tomorrow.

Temporary smoke cover may occur. Every effort is made to conduct the burns in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke in the area.

ACT Health advises that people with asthma and other chronic respiratory diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.

I love the smell of a good burn off. Brings back memories of hot summers and a very vague fight or flight feeling which causes a pleasant little adrenaline rush. (No view on the pros or cons: shallowness rocks!)

Why does the government continue to burn these wood-smoke trees in continued disregard to the greens press releases?

Maybe they want to sell more land and house.
