The ABC is reporting that a bus driver was stabbed in Woden this morning.

The Union is demanding more protection but personally I’d like to hear more details. Sometimes stabbings are random and sometimes they aren’t.

…unless after waiting 50 minutes, the bus was late, the fare was overly expensive, the route travelled through all suburbia, when all you wanted to do was go between Woden and Civic.

Maybe this is part of the feedback in the leadup to the re-revamped Action Bus services?

“Random’ or not, it’s unacceptable behaviour.

I’m going to be careful about what I say here because there is an ongoing police investigation, but basically the victim was an acting supervisor, police would like to speak to two males seen heading in the direction of the attack by security cameras…unfortunately I don’t have, and can’t find a description.

The attack occurred around 6am in a carpark near the Woden Bus Interchange (I believe it was the government carpark, not the Westfield one).

I suppose the usual tagline for this kind of thing is…anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
