Bus stop rubbish bags

Once that wrapper is blowing in the breeze it is considered the duty of the public purse to clean it up. At the same time the advertising can still be witnessed until the wrapper is picked up by a council worker etc. The wrapper advertising works as part of the constant subliminal marketing campaign of the food outlet. It could be argued that the onus for cleanup should therefore fall on the shoulders of those who could benefit from the public exposure of their garbage.

Their packaging is labelled for advertising purposes so it is still their property even though the goods inside that packaging has been purchased by someone else;
They could roster employees in down times to clean up the local neighbourhood as part of their much touted Social Responsibility;
They could have an effective feedback system that allows identification of Maccas Litter Black Spots so as to keep THEIR neighbourhood clean. Their website has no email address and they don’t answer their phone. The only feedback they allow is questions they have placed on the website.

Why? How is that McDonald’s’ fault? They’ve got garbage bins galore inside and out their ‘restaurants’, how can they control what their customers do once they’ve gone? It’s the dickslapper customers dumping their crap wherever they feel like it that you should be cut with. Do you blame Sony for the clapped out bigscreen TVs dumped at Salvos charity bins?

Seems to be a new method. Recently saw bags tied to posts for a stretch about of 10km along the fed highway. And I’ve seen the rubbish being collected by the guys who are employed to do such things. They sure are taking their time collecting the bags.

They seemed to coincide with the grass mowing – maybe a good samaritan lawn mower pilot?

Noticed the same thing out Kippax way too, but been there for about a month or so. Just hope the dogs don’t get into what ever rubbish is in there.
