The ABC are warning that the industrial action by ACTION mechanics is having flow on effects to today’s services after Deane’s busline had to help out with sporting events over the weekend:
“What we would try and ask people to do, and we apologise unreservedly for the fact that there will be some disruptions for people, is get down to the bus stop a little bit earlier to perhaps try and catch the earlier bus if you can,” he said.
“That might negate some of the problems as we get into the peak hour services and I guess just be patient, again we do apologise.”
Mr Roncon says peak hour and school services will not be affected.
“What we try to do is maintain the high patronised routes like our route services, our 200’s and 300’s and of course our school services always get priority as well,” he said.
