Woroni has published the list of items required to win this year’s ANU scavenger hunt.

Some very funny stuff there, we look forward to hearing about the winners.

Registrations close 5pm 23 July and judging will run between 10am and 12pm in Union Court on Thursday 24 July.

There are cash prizes but sadly entries are limited to those with valid student numbers.

I love these types of scavenger hunts. A few of the items in this years’ that caught my attention:

100 points – Prove the adage with an official academic transcript for a full degree showing only passes – P’s make degrees kiddies but I’ve never met anyone one who has done it (my attendance was all high D’s or fails!)

50 points – Blend the unblendable – Someone has been watching the Gruen transfer
50 points – The Rudd family dog, Abigail, or the family cat, Jasper – WTF?? This would be harder than Rudd himself (an instant win!) given the number of ANU students with family Labour party connections. This pets are in a fenced residence guarded by armed APS mostly lacking senses of humour!

20 points – A post-coital glow – and who is to judge this? if not confirmed by involvement of one of the judges it might be a little hard to prove or disprove for that matter!

There are a lot of other gems but so those Rioters like myself who are no longer or never were ANU students can get involved I’m prepose starting a list of items we can donate to scavenger hunt teams. To start with I have:

A Soldier of Fortune magazine – 50 points (stolen from my flatmate)
A stuffed endangered animal (must be real) – 50 points (turtles are endangered aren’t they??)
Bring in any mainstream media outlet to cover the Scav Hunt – 50 points (is Riot mainstream? if not 2XX, 2CC, ABC radio/web??)

Australian Democrats 2007 campaign material -20 points

Anyone else able to help out with anything??
