Busway in doubt, but expensive planning rumbles on

The Liberal’s Big Z Seselja has put out a media release on frantic backpedalling from the Chief Minister on the subject of the time travelling belconnen busway.

Mr Stanhope said in question time: “The cabinet, the government, has never undertaken, has never taken a decision, to fund the Belconnen to Civic busway-never” and

“The cabinet has never taken a decision to fund that particular program.”

Sadly the expensive design process rumbles on at our expense.

Big Z? – Big Zzzzzzzz

Has this guy ever done anything but plaster the southside with pictures of himself at election time and release whiny media releases?

They’ll probably make you require a licence which expires in 5 years, obviously that’ll prohibit you from travelling for more than 5 years at a hop, and then you’ll have to pay the exorbitant fee that is required for you to sit down for a photo and print that out on a card, so you can travel a further 5 years into the future.

They could make quick money on this if they pounced…

The Belconnen to Civic bus lane is already a time travelling device. Get on and you’ll lose one hour of your life, whereas go by car and it’ll take you 10 minutes.

That’s a full 50 minutes into the future, just by taking the bus!

But wait, there’s more!

The cost of the time travel is so low, it’s no more than the equivalent of parking ALL DAY in Civic!

That’s right punters, don’t be a dunce and take your car, time travel is the way of the future!

Disclaimer:
Mr Stanhope said “The cabinet, the government, has never undertaken, has never taken a decision, regarding Time Travel” and

“The cabinet does not endorse time travel”

Is it just me, or whenever you read anything said by Stanhope, do you feel a little dumber ?

Does that mean that the scientists were going to charge too much for the time machine? Or is it just that Scania haven’t introduced a cost effective bus that can alter time?
