But what about the students who don't use drugs?

high pedestrians

This in from John:

Bordering the ANU on Marcus Clarke Street is this sign. Now, far be it for me to accuse uni students of activities outside the mainstream, do we really need a street sign to tell us what they get up to? And why are the old and very young been portrayed? Hardly likely to be in such an ‘elevated’ group I would have thought.

Sorry single guy – your princess is in another castle (possibly in the other direction).

How about they just remove the images and make the sign read:

MANY PEDS (all types) or HUMANS ON FOOT

High-intensity flashing LEDs anyone?

I’m yet to see “high” pedestrian activity in any of the claimed areas.

Hunting season open!

Oh, I get it! It is reduce your speed to 40 km/h! I thought they were reducing the point score to 40 for each pedestrian, with mum and bub only counting as 40 in total (not 80 for the pair). No mention of cyclists. They must still double-point score I guess ???

That figure on the bottom-left is looking pretty sinister. You might want to floor it through that area.

But what about the students who don’t use drugs?

No such beast!

Hey! These images are not representative enough. What about someone in a wheelchair? An amputee on crutches? Those are pretty caucasian silhouettes – how about depicting an ectomorphic silhouette to reflect our North African community? Not to mention anti-feminist – why does the government need to have the “woman” in a dress? Oh, OK, that’s a crossdresser. If that’s a cross-dresser, where’s the image of a womyn? And how are the transgendered being looked after?

Another redundant sign – should we really be handing out driving licences to people who can’t figure out that a street that runs between the car parks and office buildings, and has lots of pedestrians attempting to cross it at almost any given time of the day, is an area of high pedestrian activity?

And while the driver is reading this sign they’re not seeing the peds

With prescription pain medication and ADHD drugs, the wrinklies and young’uns are off their fecking faces.

Students getting high is a given but no one wants to see the kiddies and oldies legless surely??
