Buzzcuts in Canberra?

I am fairly new in Canberra.

Just have my hair in a Buzzcut and it seemed like some girls immediately disqualify me and today had 3 young males pass and swear on me while I was walking in the Civic mall.

Now I am feeling bit low.

Do I look hideous?

Or is it just a NO NO haircut in Canberra?

I cannot recommend king cuts.

Male or Female, it shouldn’t matter what type of haircut you have.

Just more Canberran’s showing their usual sheltered, close mindedness.

Of course not. Why just this morning I was marvelling at all the rat-tails and mullets in Manuka.

It make you like like you are in the army.

Thank you for your input and opinions. They made me feel better about my haircut. I certainly wouldn’t be embarrassed about how I look with it buzzed, but I would let it grow out again. Aaaaand I ain’t got no regalia, I even dunno what Pikey refers

A Pikey is a slur against the Traveller/gypsy community in the UK. I have no idea why someone would bring it up in a shaved head thread , travellers are not known specifically for shaved heads.

Other than that I wonder why someone would have a go at you for your hair style? I’ve seen real skinheads walk through this town and no one says a word, so I am curious as to what peoples issues are with the shaven head. Personally I like it on a man or a woman.. It feels nice to touch

Oh yeah that’s what I have! I guess I call it a shaved head because I use electric razor on it.

Alex Perry, is that you? If so, you’re a knob!

Is buzzcut the same as shaved head?
I have shaved head but no one ever said anything except my dad.

No, buzzcut means there is just a little hair left. Short as you can go with an electric razor, I think, as in all the US Army films. You need the right shaped head, as with having no hair at all. So not like this:

Do you look like a Pikey?

Swap the Doc Martins for thongs and ditch the Nazi regalia and things should look up…

Do I look hideous?

Why not post a picture and let the mob decide?

Lol

I got told to “get a haircut, you ****ing golliwog” by a bunch of bogan youths in the shopping centre car park in Queanbeyan once. I was amused rather than offended though.

Buzzcuts are fine.

Are you male or female? A bit unusual if you are female to have a buzzcut. For a male I wouldn’t think it too unusual, I’m a male and often get a buzzcut and have never copped any grief from anyone over it.

Umm… I had a buzzcut for quite a while and had no problems at all. So I don’t think that is the problem.
