Cable tied teens and guns in Bonython

ACT Policing officers seized two firearms from a house in Bonython after a disturbance on Sunday (January 13).

Around 2.15am members from Tuggeranong general duties responded to a report of a disturbance at a house in Hocking Place, Bonython.

At the location, officers found two teenagers, aged 17 and 18 cable-tied and suffering from injuries after being struck with a baseball bat and having a rifle pointed in their direction. Both teenagers were conveyed to hospital as a result of their injuries.

Officers spoke to the residents of the house who informed police that there is an ongoing dispute between the parties.

During a search of the house, officers located and seized two firearms. Two men, aged 48 and 18 are assisting Police with their enquiries.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the disturbance to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the website www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
