Campbell House Fire

ACT Fire Brigade currently on scene at a house fire on Getting Crescent, Campbell.

Three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and the specialist Hazardous Materials unit are getting to work to extinguish the fire.

House has heavy smoke logging.

Update to follow.

Fire has been extinguished.

Small smouldering fire generated a large volume of smoke. The majority of house has received heavy smoke logging but minimal fire damage.

No-one home at time of fire.

Crews conducting ventilation operations and air monitoring before allowing residents inside.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 10.04am.

10:55am Thursday 13 October

ACT Fire Brigade air monitoring operations are due to be completed by midday when crews will depart the scene.

Cause of fire will be investigated but is not suspicious.
