Good news for the Raiderites!

The Courier Mail reports that Canberra’s Terry Campese and Joel Monaghan have made the Kangaroos squad to play in the amusingly named Rugby League World Cup.

Good for the blokes regardless of the competition.

Great stuff – looking forward to seeing them in World Cup action!

Kudos to the boys!

Monas likely to start in about half of all games. As for Campo, I expect him to come off the bench in all games, bar the PNG one where he will most likely start.

Also, Justin Carney and Joel Thompson from Raiders Toyota Cup have been named in the indigenous squad to play the NZ Maori in a world-cup prelude game. w00t.

That’s fantastic news! Can’t wait to see them run onto the field in the green and gold.

Indeed, it is good to see Campese and Monaghan recognised for finishing off the year strongly.

Maybe they’ll get a game against their Raiders team mates who, from what I understand, might be turning out for Scotland (Scott Logan) and PNG (Neville Costigan).
