The Australian brings word that Terry Campese has been added to the Raiders’ “senior leadership group”.

That makes the leadership group: Alan Tongue, Troy Thompson, and Terry Campese.

“It’s a big responsibility to be a part of the senior leadership group and it’s a great feeling to know that the boys voted me in,” Campese said.

“I think the position I play at five-eighth makes me one of the leaders on the field and hopefully I can do this off-field as well.”

Your thoughts my green eyed friends?

Yeah but he’s a centre/wing, so he spends most of his game time out near the sidelines. Campo, being a half, spends most of his game time directing his troops and deciding what play to put on next.

Campo, Tonguey and Thommo were definitely the three right guys for the job.

That said, I’m surprised that Joel Monaghan wasn’t picked ahead of Campo. He’s older and has more rep experience.

It will be tough to back up last years effort

Indeed. What Terry Campese managed to pull off in the last half of the season was just amazing. It’ll be a hard act to follow.

However, having said that, this year the Herb has cemented his position in the halves and that stability will allow the pair of them to really get some good things happening. This is an exciting time for Raiders fans.

Also one of the 5 players to watch out for this year – according to fox sports.

It will be tough to back up last years effort, but I really hope he can.
