Canberra’s own Darwin Award contender.

I saw this car driving in Phillip on Saturday morning. Something did not seem right to me about it.

Can anyone else spot it?

That is right, he is driving a car with a for “sale sign” in the middle of the windscreen.

The guy is obviously after a Darwin Award. The problem is, he might take someone else with him

bokko it’s a late 80’s/early 90’s Corolla so it isn’t worth much.

What’s the difference between that and all the fools who mount their GPS/Navman units in the middle of the windscreen, blocking the view?

Just a side-note, but whats the difference between people who mount GPS in middle of windscreen and people who mount video screens in the same place? Except that the video screen is non-interactive, yet illegal? I know people who have been fined for having a video screen on the dash, but Ive never seen anyone pulled over for having a navman in the same place, and why do people always have to fiddle with them while travelling at 80km/hr?

Poptop – that’s a dedicated sliplane IIRC, so not sure if kudos is warranted.

Doesn’t matter, you still have to indicate.

Completely irrelevant to the story, just a nitpick, but I don’t think that’s actually in Phillip.

The sign says Pinnocios Italian Restaurant which is in Torrens which would mean the car was on the corner of Athlon Drive and Beasly Street. Between Mawson and Torrens.

Kudos to the driver who appears to be indicating for a right hand turn from the right hand lane. A rare event!

How much was he asking?

And when relatives want to be picked up from the airport at stupid times of day, we could send the car on its own.

If only the GPS and cruise control could be linked….
Hey we could drive from the back seat!

And in answer to pptvb – there is no difference.

Except that they may deliberately be looking at the GPS instead of it accidentally getting in the way.

They’re right up there with a twit I saw the other day who must’ve had at least 8 National Parks permits on the driver’s side of the front windscreen running from top to bottom.

And in answer to pptvb – there is no difference.

i belive he’s turning into torrens, and he’s in mawson 😀

I blacked out the phone number and licence plate details, as i would hate for the Trolls that inhabit this site to ring up and saw what a tool he is.

Um, do ya think that maybe he’s taking it for a test drive?

That big block square on the ad would make it hard to see through too…
