The Canberra and Region Multiple Birth Association Committee is seeking Sponsorship or donation of items or vouchers suitable for use as raffle prizes, for our annual Christmas party on Sunday the 23rd of November, 2008, at Corroboree Park, Ainslie.

We had a great party last year with more than 250 people and attractions including pony rides, a petting zoo, super slide, jumping castle, Gecko Gang Face painting, huge Raffle with over 30 prizes, and of course, Santa!

The Christmas Party is a wonderful opportunity for families with Twins, Triplets or more to network with other families of Multiples. It is particularly important as a venue for parents of older multiples to provide encouragement, support and ideas on how to manage to new parents of multiples.

Raffles

The committee would appreciate any donations of prizes, discount vouchers or anything that you would deem appropriate. A poster at the Raffle Table will advertise those organisations who have made donations.

Sponsorship

We are looking for sponsorship of the larger attractions listed above. A banner or sign will be erected on the day at the site of the sponsored attraction.

In addition, a huge thank-you will be placed in our Bi-Monthly newsletter in recognition of the business that sponsored or donated prizes. This is circulated to all members. A copy of the newsletter will be forwarded to you and you or a representative of your business will be invited to attend the party.

About CARMBA

CARMBA is a voluntary, non profit organisation, run by volunteers and relies solely on annual membership fees, fundraising events and donations to meet its operational expenses.

The association provides valuable support and specialised information to Parents and their children in multiple birth families.

Our members are residing in the ACT and surrounding NSW districts including Queanbeyan, Goulburn, Cooma, Crookwell, Jindabyne and coastal areas.

If you are interested in helping us with this event, please let me know, I can pass on the contact info for you to get in touch with the committee.

2011 Kids Christmas Party – was a fantastic day today. Thank-you to all vounteers who gave up there time with a big exception to John and company who only gave their time for personal gain. John who volunteered in the gift room felt he was entitled to take 3 bags full of left over presents that were promised to unwell and terminally ill children at Make a Wish Australia and the Canberra Hospital. ” As your companion said “We all need to remember the reasons we are here today” and they are simply we are herer to make a difference in a childs life through giving and not to line your greedy pockets. SHAME ON YOU JOHN AND PLEASE DO NOT COME BACK NEXT YEAR!

Well, glad all is well. Good luck with it all.

still here, but can’t spend a lot of time on the RA at the moment.

Where have you been, peterh? I have been worried about you.

Surely there is even one go-getting business type person here that could find it in their heart to donate something to this group. Their sanity may depend on your support!! And just think of all that future business from the twins and triplets ….

Thanks Granny 🙂

or current business. keeping 2 little boys in nappies – bring on toilet training!, formula and food is a fairly large task. and my boys aren’t even 2 yet.

on average, we spend over $200 a month on basic necessities.

imagine what that will be like when they are eating solids only….

my local butcher is already rubbing his hands together, I am sure.
