In less than one month Canberra will flip the switch on Enlighten 2015, dazzling visitors with an exciting program of world-class lighting, music and entertainment.

From the twinkling sounds of indie-pop band Alpine to the stunning aerial performance, Elements, and the quirky Physics of Beer workshop at Questacon- The National Science and Technology Centre, the diversity of Enlighten’s program provides plenty of reasons to venture out after dark.

Enlighten’s Adelina La Vita says this year’s program creatively integrates entertainment offerings from across the globe – including two spectacular Australian-firsts – with the event’s trademark architectural projections.

“Enlighten will capture the imagination of locals and visitors as they are treated to world-renowned entertainment and performances from the UK, USA, Spain and Australia,” she said.

“We have some amazing surprises in store for crowds this year, with roving performers, live music and the Enlighten Night Noodle Markets offering a feast of the senses and enticing visitors to explore, listen, eat and play.”

For the fifth year, six of Canberra’s most iconic buildings will come alive with colour and movement each night between 27 February and 7 March.

Performers will enliven the Parliamentary Triangle with free entertainment as a selection of the capital’s national attractions offer 34 exclusive ticketed events adding another stimulating layer to the festival’s unique atmosphere.

Tickets are selling quickly for the main nights of entertainment on Friday 27 February, Saturday 28 February, Friday 6 March and Saturday 7 March, so get in quick to avoid missing out.
