Our mates moved to Melbourne so we are making a list of “must do’s” in Canberra. We can prove the Nation’s Capital has just as much to offer… not somewhere where we ride kangaroos to work on a dirt road.

So far we have a list of bars, restaurants and sites to see/do…

Suggestions…???

Well I wouldn’t have expected saying this last week.. but The National Zoo and Aquarium.

I went on the ‘Walk On The Wildside’ tour last week (not cheap mind you). It’s a behind the scenes experience involving feeding nearly all the animals at the Zoo and lunch for yourself as well.. really was worth every cent and something I highly recommend people do!

Not sure if Meet A Cheetah is close, but can’t give enough kudos to the Zoo for offering/running the W.o.W tour (and thanks to Mandy our zoo keeper / tour guide for the day!).

only part way, which is really irritating.

Erm, visiting Parliament House. You can’t exactly do it anywhere else in Australia.

It’s a great building IMO, and worth a walk around the perimeter and garden surrounds.

One of the great losses in this town took place when the simple act of walking up to the top of Parliament House to enjoy the view, at any time of day, was taken away from us.

Election night at the national tally room?

Nighttime on Mt Ainslie. It’s really lovely.
