Canberra mountaineer Andrew Locke has summited the 14th peak in his quest to climb all mountains above 8000 meters in the world. Late last week he reached the peak of Mount Shishapangma in Tibet, completing his collection of the memorable and dangerous climbs. We first brought you the news of his goal when we wished him luck as he set out last month. This story gives a bit more detail into his climb, including the terrible conditions and risks he faced.
The storm delayed his descent and put him out of contact with his support team in Australia for several days.
