Tickets for the Canberra Comedy Festival are disappearing rapidly. People in this city are enthusiastic to laugh it seems. does that say something nice about Canberrans, or something poor about Canberra. Who knows?

I know. It says something nice about Canberrans. Go team!

The demand for tickets to the Inaugural Canberra Comedy Festival has been
extremely high, as 4 shows have sold out in the last week alone. Punters
have now snapped up all of the tickets to nine out of the thirty shows on offer
at the festival.

The demand for tickets to see headliners Stephen K Amos, Akmal, Tripod and
Celia Pacquola has been extremely strong. Stephen K Amos and Akmal will
have a sold out run at the festival while Tripod and Celia are extremely close
to selling out each of their shows at the ANU Arts Centre.

The demand for tickets has not only been strong with this year’s headliners
but for local acts as well. The Stevenson Experience will have a sold out run
at Civic Pub and Irresponsible have sold out two of their shows, with a third
just released.

They could have booked Steve Hughes for several nights. I wanted to go, but as usual, didn’t hear about it until too late.
