This from over on comic book website CBR.com.

Its about a Canberra lad, Jon Sommariva.

Jon Sommariva, formerly of this parish, and artist on books like “Noble Causes,” “Go Boy 7” and “Star Wars Tales” has been missing for about four years.

Well, he’s back with a new Jay Faerber project for Image. It’s called “Gemini.”

If you scroll down to the section marked “Twin Star”, [or click here – ED] you can see some of his art.

Pretty good!

If you dig Jon’s art, you should see his DeviantART page. It has heaps of cool old skool characters and awesome art. The pole dancing girl is very hot!

we’re ancient random, sorry. Kids these days only like comics if they’re Pokemon or some other weird nonsense crap.

“old-school 1990’s”

Old-school?! Way to make a guy feel ancient.

Can’t say as I’m a fan of the Gemini art, but at least it’s better than his horrible work on Noble Causes (looks like it was just pencilling for a single story in Noble Causes: Family Secrets #3).

Whilst I’ve never been a fan of the cartoony style most comics seem to be adopting nowadays (I come from old-school 1990’s comic-reading wise), it’s pretty damn good. Good to see a canberra lad out there in the big league of comics.
Btw, what is the underground comic book scene like in canberra? I’ve seen some comics at Impact (or whatever that comic book shop is called now) that seem to be locally produced. Are they any good?
