Thank you so much. I haven’t won anything for so many years I can’t even remember. I’m going to enjoy this!

Bugger. I guess I’ll just…I’ll just….I’ll just go to the fridge and drink some of my own wine! It’s Friday, and I’m in the mood. 🙂

Two words of comfort: Beer Festival.

Thank you!

With theatre tickets and wine, I have already more than won back my premium sub for the year. Unless the wine is consumed before I liberate it…

(Please keep an eye on it Jazz. Johnboy and particularly Bacchus strike me as unreliable.)

Has this happened yet? My cornflakes were dry this morning, so I live in hope.

Yarrh wines for mine. Nice wine, nice people and an interesting building in a beautiful location on top of a hill looking down the valley across the vines. I had a very happy and pleasant couple of hours there on my birthday last year courtesy of Mrs LSWCHP.

I’d recommend a trip out there to anybody who likes the local drops.

I’d like to be a winning winer but I haven’t been to any local wineries and am too honest to make stuff up…
I know the Oaks Estate bottlo sells grappa when it’s in season 🙂

Lark Hill Winery who gave myself and some visitors a tour of their winery and explained what a tough life it is!

One of the best wineries I have been to was Jeir Creek as part of a wine tour a few years ago (Bucks party)

I might be because it was the 3rd or 4th stop 🙂 but their grazing platters were amazing and they had the best muscat.

I think we went to an olive oil plantation too after that, but everything is a bit sketchy by that stage of the day.

My favourite memory is now of yesterday and Granitevale winery. Sitting listening to wonderful folk music, with table service tastings, each one carefully explained by the staff member. And the delicious Pink Ice desert Wine, made like an Ice bock. Definitely my new favourite Canberra winery and worth a visit for the wines and the atmosphere.

I recently went to Mount Majura winery for a tasting session, it was great! I really like most of their reds and find it difficult to pick a favourite. I had never tried the Graciano before but enjoyed it quite a lot.

Usually my favourite memories are red related but the ‘Auslese’ at Clonakilla was great last year and quite rare. I’m pumped for the Helm masterclass tomorrow.

Surveyors Hill.

I always feel welcome there and the reds are worth a return visit.

If sitting down for lunch, try the duck.

I gave a poetry reading once at Mount Majura winery, in a room with giant vats. The smell of wine permeated the air and I’m absolutely sure that’s how the wine stain got on my book…
