ACT Health has published a call for volunteers to help out in the emergency department without pay:

Canberra Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is seeking volunteers to assist with a three month project pilot in our busy waiting room.

The ED sees between 150 – 200 clients a day. The role of the volunteers will be to provide non-clinical support and assistance to clients of the ED as they wait for medical or paramedical attention.

ACT Health is seeking expressions of interest from people who have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and display a calm caring manner.

During the three month pilot a commitment of at least three hours per week is required to fill one of the proposed shifts (3pm – 6pm or 6pm – 9pm).

Damn, I read that as Strippers.

Oh hell………………………..you’re disappointed! I just signed up!

Wow, that would be a tough gig – copping the wrath of sick and injured people waiting for care, and not being paid for it! I 100% admire anyone who signs up. Hopefully any takers get OAs for it! 🙂

Damn, I read that as Strippers.
