Canberra is losing the only G-spot most men can find

Following the brumbies win on Saturday night I headed down to the G-Spot in Gungahlin for an after rugby bastard. I was shocked to see this sign just below the window where you order.

Sorry for the terrible picture quality, but is says the G-spot is closing on Sunday 10 May. According to the woman working there, it is because of the global Economic Crisis.

So RIOTers, Dont spend your Rudd-y Money on a new TV, but get down to the G-Spot Sunday night, and to paraphrase Costello, “Have a Bastard for yourself, have a Bastard for your mother, and have a Bastard for the Country”.

hopefully not for too lking g ong. you can now get deep fried mars bars, surf n turfs, chips and gravy and a whole lot more at blakes restaurant, at the canberra city bowling club in braddon. andrew and the team have been there for 2 years. we are also looking at a site in civic and dickson to relocate the mirage they call the g spot. ps – thanks go out to johno reynolds for taking heaps of photos on the night of the last stand. to book at the restaurant phone – 62487149. cheers king g

Growling Ferret is on the money Mcdolalds going 24 hrs is to blame. I would have thought people will be eating more cheap take away due to the economic crisis

the problem with this is that, for most of us, the cheap takeaway fare needs to at least be edible and flavorsome. The vans around canberra, for the most part, made great food. There were some shockers, though.

This also applies to other takeaways. If the food tastes great, and the portions are ample, we tend to go back. If, however, the portions are meagre, and the taste lack lustre, we move away to other shops.

With maccas, kfc etc, it is easier to go through drive thru, rather than stop. it is convenience food. It is inconvenient to line up at a takeaway and wait for 30mins for a burger and chips, and sometimes, not cheaper.

Nuts. Been meaning to sample the G Spot’s fare for ages, but never got around to it.
Gungahlin’s keepers of weird hours like Jonathon Reynolds will be shattered I’m sure.
I think people have hit it on the head when they say its the 24/7 McDs at the heart of it.
Or maybe things have been settling down on the Hill and there aren’t so many frazzled APSers coming home at stupid hours? (Wouldn’t know it from the hours I and others here have been doing though…)

On a similar but off-topic thought, what happened to the food van down in Tuggeranong? They were going strong then around easter they stopped opening, presumably due to the GFC 24-hr McCrap opening around the corner.

Anyone actually know the story?

This is a real shame, Dion can cook up a storm. The Lakes club next door should help them out.

Brilliant post heading by the way – too bloody funny (and sadly, quite true ….)

Based on personal experience? i.e. you’ve had most men in Canberra try?

The 24 hour Maccas up the road is a more likely cause than the GFC…

Aw.

Bloody hell, looks like checkers is closest to Gunghalinites now…

only a mars bar in pastry, NOT a mars bar in the deep frier the the old Lyneham fisho did

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Is this my last chance to have a deep fried mars bar?
And is that last chance because the g-spot is closing, or I will die after eating it?

The end of an era…
