Canberra Libs Website

With politics, I like to think that a make a balanced judgement based on policies on offer rather than immediately follow one party’s line. So in an attempt to research some issues, I went to the Canberra Liberal’s website. After viewing a number of typos on Brendan Smyth’s media page I decided to take more of a tour (is “asset” really that hard to spell?).

The “Our Policies” hasn’t been updated since the last election. Does this mean that they are still current, despite the Lib’s having a swing against them at the last election?

I know they haven’t had the best of runs lately, but surely the 2006 Federal Convention is no longer worthy of Top Story status on the Young Libs page? And don’t forget to mark the dates for the 2007 convention in your diary.

And you can still watch Clinton White’s “from the white house” election ad amongst the others.

But they have at least updated Vicki Dunne’s photo to show her new blonde look.

I have no affiliation with the ALP or any other party

Hey, I like this new trend on RA where people declare their interest/employer/affiliation. Has someone been ‘outed’?

( I have no connections with the Socialist Alternative)

1, Personally I find it disturbing when the Parliamentary Liberal Party comes up with new policy. For every ‘yeah sure we’ll cut taxes….probably’ policy there are 100 new spending initiatives. To be honest, you should be happy that they managed to come up with policies at all for the last election. Let’s not forget the whole Health policy thing. Ahhh Jacqui Burke, I never was convinced that she actually did anything in those last four years and it was both horrific and satisfying to have that confirmed.

2, Blonde? Since when was white blonde?

3, I went to the YL’s website and the first story was about the 2009 Convention not the 2006 convention. I’m actually a little disappointed that that part of your story was wrong, it seemed so right. How did you get to the website? There might be an old link or something to some long forgotten and abandoned page.

That picture of Dozspot on the banner gives me chills: he’s one evil-looking mofo.

luks priddy fink ile join!!!!!!!

Andrew Barr issued a press release a couple of weeks ago which contained very few spaces and was littered with spelling mistakes. They are all fairly bad at these internet and press releases things.

It costs that much to update a website?

So they’re saving money, who cares?

The ALP wouldn’t know about that, spending countless sums of our $ on their propaganda campaigns.

I have no affiliation with the LIBS or any other party 😉

yeah – they should probably take down the failed candidates stuff…
